    In conjunction with a provincial host, the Association of Canadian Choral Conductors (ACCC) organizes a biennial national conference for conductors, that features conducting masterclasses, workshops, reading sessions, and concerts by selected Canadian choirs and the National Youth Choir.

    Podium 2008, with the theme of Choral Waves – Ondes Chorales, is being hosted by the New Brunswick Choral Federation and Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, and will be held May 15-18, 2008.  

    The Amadeus Choir is one of the featured choirs, and will be presenting a Cameo Concert, as well as performing in The Composers’ Corner – a workshop given by Lydia Adams, designed for composers of choral music who would value hearing performances of their work and would welcome feedback.  

    Interested composers are invited to submit selections for consideration – one copy of the original score should be sent by February 15, 2008 to Lydia Adams, c/o The Amadeus Choir, 75 The Donway West, Suite 410, Toronto, ON, M3C 2E9.  Composers will be notified in March, 2008.   

It’s never too early to think about golf!  So mark your calendars for the Amadeus Golf Classic - Thursday June 12th 2008!!!

This year’s special event in support of the Amadeus Choir will be held at the Sleepy Hollow Country Club; a private country club located in Stouffville, set in the lush rolling hillside minutes north of Markham, and will include:

18 holes of golf with cart at the beautiful Sleepy Hollow Country Club
Unlimited use of driving range, including balls
Chipping and putting areas
Use of pool
Lunch and dinner including wine
Awards
A FUN TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The cost is $195 per person as part of a foursome or $210 for singles. For an additional $20 you will receive a Golf Passport which includes entry into all contests such as hole in one, putting challenge, longest drive, mulligans and more. As well, the Golf Passport will enter you into the draw for the grand prize!  

And of course, because this event is in support of the Amadeus Choir, a tax receipt for a portion of the fee will be provided to participants.
